Career Connections: Advocating for Yourself in the Workplace

This informal event strives to provide community and engagement for students, professionals, job seekers, or anyone looking for career support. The goal is to create a casual, welcoming environment for people to find resources, guidance, and fellowship with people from all stages in their careers. The event will begin with a brief 15-20 minute presentation on a career topic differing every week (see below for details). After the initial presentation, the event will be open-house style and participants may come and go as their schedule allows. During this time, folks are also welcome to drop in for a quick review of their resume to receive feedback and suggestions. Light refreshments will be provided.
CEW+, 2-4 pm. Free. Registration is encouraged but not required.

Kacey Richardson, CEW+ Master’s Level Counseling Intern
Kacey received her BS in Psychology and Gender & Women’s Studies from Western Michigan University, and she is currently in the Master’s degree in Social Work program at U-M. She provides counseling services to individuals seeking assistance in reaching their career and educational goals with oversight from a licensed counselor.
