Alyssa Daum is a mother of three pursuing her Master of Business Administration at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, where she serves as a Dean’s Fellow. As vice president of community building for Michigan Business Women, Alyssa champions inclusive environments that promote collaboration and growth among their memberships. Alyssa is proud to set an example for her children, as she writes, “They’re watching their mom return to school to prioritize her dreams and their future opportunities.”

Before returning to higher education, Alyssa built an impactful career in contracts and operations management at leading technology companies. At Twilio, she transformed departmental efficiency and established new structured promotion pathways. Her strategic thinking extended beyond operations as she co-led the legal team’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee and helped develop the team’s pro bono policy. Earlier in her career, Alyssa worked as a contracts manager at ExoAnalytic Solutions, where she managed contract lifecycles. Her ability to build cross-functional relationships transformed how technical teams viewed legal departments, shifting perceptions from roadblock to strategic partner.

Alyssa uses her spare time and resources to uplift others. She co-founded Friends of Silverado Children’s Center, a charity formed to support a nonprofit nature-based preschool, and she also served on its board. Together with her husband, her medium-term goal is to become a financial sponsor of an education nonprofit. Alyssa is also the author of This Life is Mine, which teaches readers how to live a “well-lived and well-loved life.”

In summer 2025, Alyssa completed an internship with Ford’s Business Leader Program. She looks forward to finding opportunities where she can drive meaningful change after her graduation in May 2026. As Alyssa puts it, “I aspire to be a leader who brings inclusivity, empathy, and clarity to global teams.”
