GETTING STARTED

Harshita Sinha

Harshita plans to use her experience in leadership roles and project management skills to bridge gaps in healthcare access and quality, ensuring sustainable and impactful change both locally and globally.

Harshita Sinha, an MBA candidate at the Ross School of Business, is a resilient leader passionate about transforming the healthcare industry through innovative business strategies. Harshita’s commitment to healthcare is deeply personal, inspired by the loss of three grandparents due to inadequate access to healthcare in India. This experience developed into a resolve to improve healthcare accessibility and quality on a global scale. After earning her undergraduate degree in biology and anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015, Harshita undertook many diverse pursuits, such as consulting, operations, publishing, nonprofit consulting, and supply chain management.

At Ross, she concentrates on healthcare management, aiming to blend strategic business insights with healthcare solutions to drive systemic change. Harshita won first place in the Michigan Business Challenge and third in the Yale Healthcare Services Innovation Case Competition. She serves as the co-president of the Healthcare & Life Sciences Club; chief of staff for Affirmative, an organization focusing on transgender healthcare; president of the Healthcare Life Sciences Club; and vice president of admissions for Out for Business, an LGBTQ+ student organization at Ross. Recently, Harshita had the honor of telling her own story at the Michigan Ross Story Lab, and in her spare time, Harshita is the co-president of the Gourmet Club and a certified scuba diver. She also taught herself mycology and foraging.

Breaking generational expectations, Harshita belongs to the first generation of women in her family to pursue a career, and she is the first woman in her family to earn an MBA. After earning her degree, Harshita plans to use her experience in leadership roles and project management skills to bridge gaps in healthcare access and quality, ensuring sustainable and impactful change both locally and globally.

CEW+ commends Harshita’s commitment to improving healthcare and names her a Margaret Dow Towsley Scholar.
