Sarah Ramos
Sarah is earning her degree at U-M and setting an example to her children that it is never too late to pursue your dreams, no matter how many obstacles may be in your way.

Sarah Ramos is a dedicated nurse passionate about caring for children. Sarah has demonstrated remarkable persistence in her education and career as a nurse: after experiencing significant loss in her personal life, Sarah was driven to continue her education and enrolled in nursing school. Once there, she persevered through the challenges of raising her young daughter and ultimately graduated with her bachelor’s in nursing.
Sarah launched her nursing career as a float nurse at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw, MI; there, she spent time in the NICU caring for the tiniest of patients and found her passion in nursing. Sarah never lost sight of this passion or her ambition to earn her pediatric nurse practitioner degree while she focused on building and tending to her family over the following years. Now a school nurse and mother of three, Sarah is earning her degree at U-M and setting an example to her children that it is never too late to pursue your dreams, no matter how many obstacles may be in your way. Her colleagues remark on her remarkable perseverance, generosity, and drive, noting that she “demonstrates transformational leadership and exhibits a true dedication to the nursing profession.”
After completing her degree, Sarah intends to work as a pediatric nurse practitioner in a primary care setting in Saginaw. She is especially passionate about making a difference in the lives of underserved children. Sarah also hopes to continue her education beyond her master’s.
CEW+ celebrates Sarah’s persistence and commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and names her a Margaret Dow Towsley Scholar.
